A Letter Of Complaint

Dear Mrs. Saar,

I am writing to you, because I feel like there are problems at our school that need to be dealt with.

My first concern is that the schoolbags are way too heavy. I would suggest the school to try and get lockers for the students so they did not have to carry all of their books with them during the long schooldays. This would also make going up stairs a lot easier. Students wearing shoulder bags with a lot of weight in them from books may also twist their spines.

Secondly, I find the food quality to be below an acceptable level. Almost every day, the same food is served in the cafeteria and many of my classmates, including me, have already given up on that food and gone to buying our lunch from Solaris. When you get the same cutlet and same raw potatoes every day, you eventually just give up on that food and try to find something more diverse.

The final issue is that teachers expect too much from students. I know I am studying at the best school in Estonia, but that does not give teachers a reason to make fun of those who maybe cannot understand everything as quickly as some whiz kids. It really disappoints me that everyone is considered like just a set which has to function the same way. In reality, we are all different and at the moment, most of the teachers cannot seem to treat a single person as an individual and instead of calmly teaching him or her, they rather mock the student, because they expect everyone who got into this school to be good at every subject in school. However, in reality, this is simply not possible.

I hope at least some of these problems will be taken into consideration and maybe even solved.

With all due respect,
Rabindranath Sundaram Kuus
